The Palm Beach Colombian Fest mission is to promote the wealth of the Colombian culture in which it is demonstrated by Palm Beach County and its surrounding residents, through its traditions, music, gastronomy, crafts, and its friendly people.

History
Palm Beach Colombian Fest - (Festival Independencia de Colombia in Palm Beach) is a big festival where Colombians abroad celebrate their Independence Day. That day is a waste of pure feeling, a fortunate moment where the feeling of distance of the country is shared with the happiness and unification of love to its identity, its roots, cultures and authenticity.
Since 2001, the first year this great event was launched, it has been given an opportunity to where the Colombians can be transported for a day to their beloved country through their music, art, characters, typical foods, folk dances, crafts and family entertainment. Thus same, the participation of merchants, Finance, Health, Service, governmental organizations and private companies enrich with their participation in the variety of attractions for the great diversity of audience that responds to this celebration, collective fleeting and intense. Unlike other festivals we seek the unification of the family and the integration of our people in desires to show the world another face of Colombia.
Palm Beach Colombian Fest, has been carried out in different settings of the County, for example: The first two years took place in The Expo Center of the South Florida Fair Grounds in West Palm Beach; the following 3 years took place in The American German Club in the city of Lake Worth. Due to the increment of audience, in 2006 we rewarded this event to the South Florida Fair Grounds Amphitheater and in 2007 it was carried out in the Bryant Park of the city of Lake Worth. By location, landscape and facilities this year it will be celebrated in the same park.
Among the bands that have participated in this event we have had: Grupo Niche, Son de Azúcar, Son Caleño e Ingrid cantante de música llanera, Alquimia, Fruco y sus Tesos, Gale, Luis Felipe González (La Saporrita), Wayoo- Vallenato, Jorge Celedon, Los 50 de Joselito, Richie Ray & Bobby Cruz, Fulanito, Gabriel Rumba Romero, Sonora Carruseles, Darío Gomez el “Rey del Despecho”, El Loco Quintero, Che Lopez -; local bands like: Desafío, El Comienzo -Reggueton-, Grupo Yambu, Yambeque, Son Caleño, Fusión Vayu, Los Reyes del Vallenato;, Joche, Taqui-Inti (Andean music). A parade of Fine Step Horses, Silleteros, Folk Dances and Salsa dance competitions.
Palm Beach Colombian Fest to this date gathers more than 6,000 Colombians, 100 booths with samples of typical food, crafts, companies and merchants in general, who leave by the end of the day full of patriotism. We invite you to form part of this great celebration.
Every year the Colombians are filled with pride with their country bringing the hottest Musical groups and the latest advancements in techniques to offer the audience a worthy quality spectacular for you and your family.
This, as every year, we will raise the Colombian flag and united we will sing the national anthem, considered one of the most beautiful of the world. At 8:00 p.m. we will give thanks to God, we will do a prayer for the peace and the kidnapped in Colombia. Then, united we will shout “Viva Colombia” (Long Live Colombia).... Finally, there will be a great surprise in the evening that you can not miss! No one can describe the experience you must live it. Remember, who Lives it, is who Enjoys It!
